Strength, Mobility, and Breath
This course is designed to provide you with all of the tools you will need to truly feel strong in body and mind. You will learn how to retrain your core in order to feel confident in performing exercises and everyday functional tasks. Nurturing your well-being is a holistic endeavour. In this course you will also get an opportunity to set aside time for meditation on your own, but you will also find opportunities throughout to share this time with your little one(s). I encourage you to enjoy the journey without judgement of self. Breathe, move, and build. The journey is continuous and it’s all your own.
Breath and Meditation
In this lesson, we will explore proper alignment of the body for optimal breath while performing kegels.
We will learn to both contract and relax the muscles of the pelvic floor.
This lesson will not only describe the benefits of Calming/Ujjayi Breath, but you will learn how to execute it in a very short amount of time. This “simple” breath exercise will help to combat stress. Practice this consistently and watch the benefits unfold.
Exercises and Core Connection
Roll out your yoga mat because in this lesson you will execute 3 exercises that will help you to integrate kegels with movement. This will help you to set up a solid foundation that we will build upon later. You may also want to have a pillow or yoga bolster and a block for extra support. Take your time and be gentle with yourself as you explore these movements.
Connection to our core muscles is more than doing abdominal exercises that focus on the superficial muscles. We must deeply connect in order to retrain and build true stability and suppleness there. The only way to do this is by integrating our breath with the way we both engage and relax through the pelvic floor and other core muscles. We can reap the benefits by integrating our core breath with movement/exercise. Ease back into exercise with awareness, confidence and control.
Yoga
This short flow encourages you to take time to nourish yourself. You might be able to fit it in while baby naps, or maybe even when they are enjoying some tummy and/or playtime. This class encourages you to slow down both your breath and movement in order to restore your energy and to release tension. You will explore postures that help to support you in increasing postural awareness. Walk away feeling more upright, strong, and refreshed.
Myofascial release
In this video we will explore how we can relieve some tension in our feet. If you are feeling tightness in your ankles and/or the bottom of your feet, it may be that you need to encourage more circulation and suppleness in the tissues. Let’s dive into exactly how we can promote this healing.
